This is an original, 1943, large (56” high by 40” wide) lithograph of the “Freedom From Want” Poster by Norman Rockwell printed by the U. S. Government during World War II. This was acquired in 1980 from a retired Charlottesville postal employee who saved it back after it was thrown away at the Main Post Office on Market Street. It is folded as issued. The artist, Norman Rockwell, portrayed himself in the lower proper left corner, looking towards the viewer, as follows:
