Strtetcher-based tavern tables remain among the most favored pieces of collectors of colonial furniture. This rare surviving Southern table is all made of yellow pine, with a bread-board top over a plain apron supported by Mannerist turned legs in the William and Mary taste. These tables, of course, were used not only in taverns but also in homes and churches.
